Next Phase is a conference for anyone 50ish and over. This is a broad group of people who will go through many ‘next phases’ (kids growing up and leaving home, grandkids arriving, work changes, ageing etc) and we want to encourage you to keep going strong in your faith as some of the other things in life change. Not only do we get top bible teachers to open God’s word with us, we get to hear about some of the exciting things happening around our own patch and spend lots of time fellowshipping with each other.

In 2025 we will be joined by Mike Raiter, Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching in Melbourne. Mike will open up Hebrews 11 and 12 with us as we think through what it means to ‘live in the light of Christ’s return’.

Also joining us this year is Dave Jensen, pastor and Assistant Director of Evangelism New Churches in Sydney. Dave will be presenting two seminars to help us share the gospel with those around us. He will also be interviewed on the Friday night, sharing his testimony and some of the things he’s excited about in his work.

Our electives this year are:

• Deepening the Well. This is about how to keep learning from God’s word in ways that will enrich your relationship with God, and enable you to encourage others from God’s word.
• Caring for the Sick and Aged. Our two hospital chaplains will talk about the ministry of visiting those in hospitals and aged care facilities.
• Holding Everyday English Classes. There are several of these ministries in our Diocese – come along and hear about how they are beneficial to both the attendees and those who help run them.
• The Anxiety Epidemic. What is anxiety and how can we be supporting those around us who are experiencing it (without becoming a professional)?
