For those who prefer in-person training, we are holding the following training days in 2026:

All training days will start at 9:30am. Essentials training will finish at 3:30pm and Refresher training will finish at 1pm.Â
Safe ministry essentials is for anyone who has never done the safe ministry training before, or for those whose certificate expired more than three months previously. This training will take 5-6 hours to complete.
Safe ministry refresher is for those whose safe ministry certificate has not yet expired (or expired less than three months previously). You need to do a refresher course every three years to remain up-to-date. This training will take around 3 hours to complete.
Both face-to-face courses cost $15. You can pay by cash on the day.
If you are attending Essentials training, there will be a break for lunch. Please bring your own food.

Lay Preaching Day Flyer
Join us for the 2026 Lay Preaching Day! This training day is for anyone (men and women) who wants to improve their preaching skills, or get skilled-up to start preaching. Our speaker this year is Rev. Neil Hunt (Vicar of Walcha) who will help us to find a clear ‘big idea’ in a passage.
