At Synod in 2025, one of the members shared about the frustrations of praying for things from the prayer diary and then finding out that the building project has finished, or the staff member has moved. A motion was then passed that we publish updates so that everyone can be confident that their prayers are relevant and helpful. This means a few changes are coming this year.
The main prayer diary will be published as normal at the beginning of the year and arrive in churches towards the end of February. Updates for each of Terms 2, 3 and 4 will (hopefully) come out at the beginning of each term and will be a simple list of changes and updates that can be printed at home or by your church. All of the files will be made available to churches as pdfs and published on our website – just click on the Prayer Diary menu item above.
If you would prefer a copy on your phone – we also publish the prayer points through the PrayerMate app. This is updated regularly throughout the year. Details are on the Prayer Diary page.
Our hope and prayer is that these changes will encourage you in your prayers and help you to see all the wonderful things that God is doing all over our Diocese this year.
