Vale Murray Guest

The Armidale Diocese is shocked and saddened by the tragic and sudden death of the Headmaster of The Armidale School (TAS), Mr. Murray Guest. On Tuesday 29 October 2019, Mr. Guest lost his life when the vehicle he was driving was involved in a single car accident on the Waterfall Way, just outside Armidale.

Mr. Guest was appointed to the position of Headmaster of TAS in 1998 and under his leadership the school has grown in size and stature. He is described by the chairman of The Armidale School board, Sebastian Hempel, as "an outstanding leader, educator and friend". Over the course of his 21 year tenure, he has won the respect and admiration of many.

The Armidale Diocese offers its deepest sympathy to Mr. Guest's wife, Joanne, their two children, and the school community.
